Celebrate The First Lady Of Comedy With The Bésame x I Love Lucy Collection

We love pop culture-inspired makeup collabs, and Bésame Cosmetics’ latest crossover collection inspired by the legendary Lucille Ball does not disappoint. The vintage makeup brand kicked off their “Iconic Women Series” with the I Love Lucy collection in late June. The collection includes and eyeshadow palette, two lipstick shades, and a compact that are an exact match to what the actress wore during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Take a look!

The Club Babalu Shadow Palette ($35) has 8 highly-pigmented, long-lasting shades featured on I Love Lucy and worn by Lucille Ball herself in the 50’s and 60’s. We love all the details in the packaging — like the palette’s cover art which is a sketch of Ricky Ricardo’s “Club Babalu” seen in the show.

When you think of Lucille Ball it’s hard not to think of her signature shade of red lipstick. But later in her life, Lucy started wearing peachy shades that complemented her apricot-colored hair. The collection includes two limited-edition cream lipsticks in red and peach that look great on a variety of skin tones — Love That Redhead ($24) and What a Peach ($24). They're encased in the brand’s signature rounded gold bullets, but this time they're etched with an original drawing of Ball commissioned by Besamé founder, Gabriela Hernandez. So elegant! Both of these shades sold out quickly after the collection’s initial release, but thanks to high demand they’re going to be restocked in September. You can pre-order them now on the website.

The collectible compact features the same artwork on the lipstick cases, and inside contains a refined pressed powder for sheer, matte coverage for a flawless finish.
