STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE Is Heading Back To Theaters For 25th Anniversary Screenings

Dust off your lightsabers and brush up on your pod racing skills, because Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is returning to the big screen for its 25th anniversary! The first film in the prequel trilogy heads back to theaters on May 3rd, and tickets are on sale at theaters nationwide now.

In addition to battle droids, Jar Jar, Darth Maul, and that iconic β€œDuel of the Fates” lightsaber battle, after the screening fans will also be treated to an exclusive look at The Acolyte, the highly anticipated upcoming Star Wars series heading to Disney+ in June.

The Phantom Menace, Episode I of the Star Wars saga originally arrived in theaters on May 19, 1999. Written and directed by the visionary George Lucas, this installment unveiled iconic characters such as the young Anakin Skywalker, the regal Queen Padme Amidala, the dutiful Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and the nefarious Sith duo of Darth Sidious and Darth Maul.

Also in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, fans will have the chance to see all nine films in the Skywalker Saga in theaters again on May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day). Tickets for this epic marathon are also on sale, and you can visit Fandango.com for more information.
