One of the silver linings of the last several months has been all the nostalgic cast reunions we’ve all been able to enjoy while the world has been dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Looks like the director and and stars of This Is Spinal Tap are getting the band back together for a virtual table read on October 14th, at 9 p.m. EST and if you’re a fan of the classic rock mockumentary you’re not going to want to miss it.

Director Rob Reiner will be joined virtually by stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer for a one-time livestream event hosted by comedian, Patton Oswalt. Anyone making a donation of any amount to Pennsylvania Democrats (PA Dems) can tune in. Jason Henry, executive director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, had this to say about the event:

Democratic enthusiasm in Pennsylvania is already turned up to eleven — we're the Keystone State and the key to winning this election. We're excited to partner with the Spinal Tap team to bring even more energy to power Democratic wins from the State House to the White House.

This event comes after a livestreamed reunion of The Princes Bride cast recently, (which also featured Rob Reiner and Patton Oswalt), raised $4.25 million for Wisconsin Democrats. Released in 1984, This Is Spinal Tap is directed by Rob Reiner and stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer as members of a British heavy metal band, who are followed around by documentarian Marty Di Bergi (played by Reiner) during a tour of the USA.

Head here if you want to make a donation so you can tune into this event. $11 sounds like a good number, but you can donate any amount you like.
