Wonder Woman Gets A New Logo For Her 80th Anniversary

It’s a good time to be a Wonder Woman fan. The highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 hits the big screens October 2nd. In addition to the movie, the superhero is also getting ready to celebrate an important milestone in 2021 — her 80th birthday! The character, created by William Moulton Marston, made her first appearance in comics in 1941. Since then, she’s become one of the most recognizable and inspiring superheroes in pop culture.

To commemorate the upcoming 80th anniversary year, DC Comics is giving Wonder Woman a new logo. WW84 director Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, and Lynda Carter unveiled the logo over the weekend at DC Fandome. It’s elegant and contemporary and features Wonder Woman’s classic blue, red and gold colors. Along with the static version, the official Wonder Woman Twitter account shared a beautifully animated version that you can see below..

Still no word yet on where the new logo will appear, but no doubt, DC will have lots planned to celebrate 80th anniversary year.
