Two Batmen. Three fan-favorite movies. One epic day in Gotham!
Calling all Bat-fans! The Bat-Signal is lighting up September as Batman Day 2026 takes over on Sept. 19 with a brand-new comic, classic movies back in theaters, gaming, collectibles, streaming celebrations and plenty of ways to show your love for the World’s Greatest Detective.
And honestly? This is one Bat-Saturday you’re going to want to keep on your radar.
Two Batmen. One Must-Read Comic.

The centerpiece of this year’s celebration is Batman of Two Worlds, a new one-shot comic from DC debuting globally on Batman Day at participating comic shops for $2.99 in the U.S. The title brings together Batman and Absolute Batman in two all-new stories, giving fans a side-by-side look at two very different versions of Gotham’s legendary protector.
The Batman story comes from writer Matt Fraction and artist Javi Fernández, while the Absolute Batman story is written by Scott Snyder with art by Nick Derington. Colors and lettering round out each creative team, with a cover by Jorge Jiménez, Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin.
Think of it as two worlds, two approaches to justice and one seriously fun Batman celebration.
Your Favorite Batman Movies Are Heading Back to Theaters

Prefer your Batman with a giant screen and a bucket of popcorn? Same. Batman Day is also giving fans the chance to revisit three beloved Batman movies in select theaters through a limited-time theatrical rerelease program.
The lineup includes:
Batman (1989) — Tim Burton's iconic Gotham adventure starring Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm — the fan-favorite animated classic returns to the big screen.
The LEGO Batman Movie — because even the Dark Knight needs to have a little fun.
The films are screening at participating exhibitors including Regal, AMC and Cinemark, with dates and availability varying by theater. So, whether your Batman is Michael Keaton, Kevin Conroy's animated Dark Knight or Will Arnett's delightfully chaotic LEGO version, there's a big-screen Bat-adventure waiting.
Rule the Night

The 2026 celebration is also embracing the theme "Rule the Night," with Batman-themed programming, streaming collections, gaming events and fan experiences.
At home, fans can revisit Batman favorites across Warner Bros. Discovery platforms. TNT is set to bring Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy to television on Sept. 19, while TBS follows Sept. 20 with Batman-themed episodes of The Big Bang Theory. HBO Max is also joining the celebration with a curated Batman movie collection featuring titles including Batman Begins and The Batman.
And if you'd rather take control of the Dark Knight yourself, gaming celebrations are joining the party, too. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is already available, while the Mayhem Collection DLC arrives in September. Mobile players can also look for Batman-themed events in Injustice 2 Mobile and DC: Dark Legion.
The Bat-Signal Is Also Calling Collectors
Of course, it wouldn't be Batman Day without some new Bat-gear.
Fans can expect Batman-inspired apparel, collectibles and more from brands including RSVLTS, Sideshow, The LEGO Group, MGA Entertainment and Jazwares, while the official DC Shop is rolling out new Batman products throughout September.
Basically, your Batcave might need a little more shelf space.
And There's More Bat-Fun at Your Local Comic Shop

Batman Day is also about getting fans together, and participating comic shops around the world will be hosting their own celebrations, promotions and activities.
Fans can also look out for four collectible paper Batman masks featuring Batman, Absolute Batman, Hush Batman and Dark Knight Returns Batman. The masks are designed by Ryan Sook in the styles of Jorge Jiménez, Nick Dragotta, Jim Lee and Frank Miller, respectively.
Activities will vary by retailer, so check with your local comic shop for details on giveaways, cosplay, masks and other Batman Day happenings.
With Batman of Two Worlds bringing two versions of the Dark Knight together and three fan-favorite movies returning to theaters, Batman Day 2026 is giving fans plenty of ways to celebrate Gotham's most famous resident. So grab your cape, and cue up the Bat-Signal!
