Calling all horror fans, Friday the 13th devotees, and anyone who has ever wondered whether they’d actually survive a night at Camp Crystal Lake: your NYCC plans just got a whole lot creepier. Peacock is bringing the world of its upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series, Crystal Lake, to New York Comic Con with a free interactive experience at the Javits Center from October 8–11. And while the camp may look innocent enough at first glance, we all know there’s no such thing as a totally relaxing trip to Camp Crystal Lake.

Located at Booth 1359, the activation invites fans to report for counselor orientation and step straight into the world of the highly anticipated series. But consider yourself warned: this is one summer camp where things can go very, very wrong.

Once inside, brave attendees can explore the Camp Crystal Lake-themed experience, snap a killer photo op, and score exclusive branded giveaways to take home. Basically, it’s everything you want from a fandom activation — with just enough horror to make you question whether you should have gone into the woods in the first place.

And yes, you can channel your inner camp counselor while soaking up all the creepy details. Just keep your eyes open, because this is Camp Crystal Lake, after all. We’re not saying you should be watching your back… but we’re also definitely not saying you shouldn’t.

The Camp Crystal Lake experience will be open throughout all four days of NYCC, giving fans plenty of opportunities to stop by between panels, shopping, cosplay photos, and all the other NYCC chaos. So, think you have what it takes to survive Camp Crystal Lake?

Head to Booth No. 1359 and find out — just try not to wander off alone.

Then, once you’ve made it out in one piece, get ready for even more Friday the 13th chills when Crystal Lake premieres October 15 on Peacock. Keep going for the official trailer!
