Join Award-Winning Composers, Michael Giacchino And Pete Doctor For Live Events San Diego Comic-Con Week!

Get ready for some musical magic as two of Hollywood's hardest working composers come together for two nights of tunes and talk during San Diego Comic-Con week. ArtPower is hosting Academy Award-winning composer, Michael Giacchino and Pete Docter at UC San Diego’s Epstein Family Amphitheater on July 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for each night start at just $30.

Giacchino, the renowned composer behind iconic scores for Up, The Batman, Ratatouille, Lost, and Rogue One — among many others — awill perform selections from Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen. This live concert experience beautifully reimagines many of his most beloved film and television compositions, presenting them in the dreamy, lounge-inspired style of 1950s Exotica, offering audiences a unique and immersive musical journey.

The following night, Giacchino will be back for  Pixar’s Pete Docter in Conversation with Michael Giacchino, as the longtime collaborators and creative minds behind some of Pixar’s most iconic films sit down for a candid discussion. From the music of Up and Inside Out to their storytelling philosophies and behind-the-scenes tales from Pixar and beyond.

This conversation offers a rare and valuable insight into the intricate worlds of animation, musical composition, and filmmaking. It presents a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy an evening that is simultaneously cinematic, inspiring, and cool, featuring some of the most talented and accomplished composers currently working in the industry today.
