Get ready to stretch, flame on, and rock out—Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps is finally coming home. After dominating the box office this summer with over $521 million worldwide, the long-awaited reboot of Marvel’s first family will officially begin streaming on Disney+ November 5.
The 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, First Steps opened in July with an impressive $117 million domestic debut and $218 million global opening weekend, marking Marvel’s biggest launch of the year—and the second-largest superhero opening of the summer behind Superman.

Directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), the film marks Hollywood’s latest and most stylish attempt to reintroduce Reed Richards and crew. Unlike previous iterations, this Fantastic Four embraces its 1960s comic book roots, setting the story in a retro-futuristic world brimming with color, optimism, and family-centered adventure. Instead of another origin tale, First Steps drops audiences right into the team’s prime—already beloved heroes balancing fame, science, and saving the world.
The all-star cast includes Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. They’re joined by Julia Garner as a sleek, otherworldly Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson as the cosmic devourer Galactus, and Paul Walter Hauser as the subterranean villain Mole Man.

The film first became available for purchase on streaming platforms on September 23, followed by a 4K Ultra HD (Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos), Blu-ray, and DVD physical release on October 14. Following its Disney+ debut, the Fantastic Four’s story will continue on the big screen when they return in “Avengers: Doomsday,” hitting theaters December 18, 2026.
