Everything You Need To Know About Star Trek Day 2022

For Star Trek fans, September 8th is a special day, because it marks the date the pilot episode of the original television series aired for the first time. Fifty-six years later, Paramount+ is celebrating this milestone by hosting the third annual Star Trek Day celebration, giving fans the. opportunity to celebrate all things Trek.

Once again, this year’s event is taking place at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles, CA and is available to watch for free online at StarTrek.com/Day. The livestream kicks off on the red carpet at 12:00 p.m. PT (3:00 p.m. ET) with co-hosts Jackie Cox (RuPaul's Drag Race) and Mary Chieffo (Star Trek: Discovery) chatting with Star Trek cast members past and present.

The day’s line-up includes a Nichelle Nichols tribute, a behind-the-scenes tour of Discovery with Wilson Cruz from Toronto, Canada where the show is filmed, chats with the casts of Picard, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, and Lower Decks.

There will also be a cosplay runway where fans will strut their best Star Trek stuff, musical guest Reggie Watts, and stand-up comedy from Brian Posehn, as well as some surprise announcements.
