Jim Henson’s Labyrinth is turning 35th this year, and Fathom Events is bringing the 1986 cult classic back to the big screen for three nights only: September 12, 13, and 15. September is also the birthday month of the late Jim Henson, who would’ve turned 85 on Sept. 24, so now’s the perfect time to head back into the legendary filmmaker’s magical labyrinth to celebrate!

The special anniversary screenings will be preceeded by a brief featurette entitled "The Henson Legacy” where one of the film’s stars, Jennifer Connelly, and the Henson family discuss the legendary filmmaker and the art of puppetry. If you’ve never seen this on the big screen or if you just want to relive that 80’s nostalgia now’s your chance!

Labyrinth follows a 16-year-old girl with a vivid imagination named Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) who after another night of getting stuck babysitting her little brother, Toby, gets frustrated and summons some Goblins to take him away. To get her brother back Sarah has to rescue him from the Goblin King (David Bowie) who lives in a fantastical world in a castle guarded by an elaboate labyrinth filled with a world of magic colorful characters.

“One of our most frequently requested titles, Labyrinth enjoys a huge and devoted fan base,” said Tom Lucas, Fathom Events Vice President of Studio Relations. “We are pleased to bring this fan-favorite from The Jim Henson Company to cinemas nationwide, and especially so for its 35th anniversary.”

You can find out more and purchase tickets for the 35th Anniversary screenings of Labyrinth on the Fathom Events website. Keep going to check out a trailer for the screenings.
