Emma Stone Shines In The First CRUELLA Trailer
It's been almost a year and a half since Disney teased us with our first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil at 2019’s D23 Expo where we saw her in a photograph next to several dalmations sporting the charater’s trademark black-and-white-hairstyle.

Now we’re getting our first footage from the live-action film just three months before it's set for release with the first trailer and Stone. Stone plays a punk-rock version of the glamorous, 101 Dalmations villainess. Cruella is set in London in the 1970’s, and it takes a look into her life prior to terrorizing the city’s dalmation puppies as depicted in the original 1961 animated version of the film. How wonderfully wicked does the Oscar-winning actress look in this wardrobe?!!

The cast also includes Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Jamie Demetriou, Joel Fry and Kirby Howell-Baptiste with I, Tonya’s Craig Gillespie directing. Take a look at the trailer below. Cruella is scheduled to hit theaters May 28, 2021.
Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
Cruella is “an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. Cruella, which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella's flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.”
