It’s not easy bringing a world filled with magic, monster hunting, sword fighting, and fantasy to the screen, and Netflix is giving fans of The Witcher a chance to see just how much goes into creating Geralt of Rivia’s world. The streaming platform released the trailer for a behind-the-scenes featurette called Making The Witcher . It might be awhile until Season 2 arrives, so it’s nice to have some behind-the-scenes footage to while we wait.

The 32 minute featurette focuses on the making of Season 1 and all that went into its writing, fight scenes and character development — interviewing show runner, Lauren S. Hissrich, as well as actors Henry Cavill (Geralt), Freya Allan (Ciri), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), and more. There’s lots of footage fans haven’t seen before, including a breakdown of what went into one of Season 1’s most intense fight sequences. Take a look!

Production of Season 2 of The Witcher is currently underway. Cavill recently posted a photo from the set on his Instagram account.

Netflix has recently announced two new projects taking place in the show's universe. The Witcher is getting a new animated spin-off called Nightmare of the Wolf. Its also working on another series — a six-part limited prequel called The Witcher: Blood Origin. No release date has been announced yet for either series.
