Celebrate THE IRON GIANT With New Swag From Mondo

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve been leaning in to nostalgia big time the last few months and spending some time revisiting some of the movies and television shows I loved growing up. What can I say — they’re old friends, and the kind of pop culture comfort food I’ve needed while we’ve all been dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
The Iron Giant is one of those movies that’s always been close to my heart. The 1999 animated classic isn’t celebrating a special anniversary this year, but it’s one of those movies (for me) that’s always worth giving a shout out to. Looks like Mondo agrees. The pop culture company is adding a new t-shirt and pins to it’s collection and if you’re a fan of the film you’re going to want to take a look!

Artist, Maggie Chiang designed this brand new unisex, black tee available for pre-order now for $25 . Chiang says she focused on Joe Johnston’s concept design when creating this design. From the Mondo press release:
“The Iron Giant is such a throwback movie to my childhood, I just had to take the opportunity to create a shirt around the iconic robot! I wanted to recreate the Iron Giant with a fresh new look using some fun modern colors.”
The tee is expected to ship sometime this month and is available for pre-order now.

The new additions also include four new pins by artists artists Tom Whalen, DKNG, and Scott C. All of these pins cost $10 each at Mondo and will be shipping as soon as possible. Whalen says:
“The Iron Giant is a near-perfect animated stew; a thoughtfully-written central cast with genuine motivations, a beautifully-designed alien, and heart-pounding action all set against the backdrop of 1950’s cold war America and executed with lush cel animation.
