Who You Gonna Call? Josh Gad Reunites The Cast Of GHOSTBUSTERS For His "Reunited Apart" Series

One of the bright spots of the past few months (for me) has been seeing the virtual cast reunions from some of my favorite 80’s and 90’s movies — especially the ones hosted by Josh Gad for his Reunited Apart fundraising series on YouTube. The latest features the cast of the 1984 classic, Ghostbusters. The episode was originally scheduled to drop last week but was postponed. Getting a chance to see the original castmembers (and surprise guests) reminise about the comedy was well-worth waiting an extra week to see.

Gad was joined by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, director Ivan Reitman and his son, Jason Reitman. The younger Reitman wrote and directed the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife which is set to hit theaters next year. Most of the original cast wil return for the new sequel, with the exception of Harold Ramis who passed away in 2014 and Rick Moranis who stepped away from acting.

The cast reminisced about Ramis, who helped write the classic film, as well as share behind-the-scenes stories from and talk about what they’ve been doing to pass the time in quarantine. Take a look!

Every episode of Reunited Apart showcases an ncredible charities with this week’s focus going towards the Equal Justice Initiative. EJI is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the U.S., to challenging racial and economic justice, and to protecting the most basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. Donations to EJI can be made by clicking the appropriate link on the videos YouTube page.

If you haven’t already checked out the series’ other episodes and you’re in the mood for some nerdy nostalgia they are all worth a watch. Gad has already virtually reunited the casts of The Goonies, Back to The Future, Splash, and The Lord of the Rings.
