MAC Cosmetics And Barbie Are Teaming Up On A New Lipstick

Many would argue Barbie was an influencer before “influencer” was even a thing. Since her creation in 1959, Barbie's held almost every job you can think of, not to mention starred in movies, created social media platforms, and most recently expanded the iconic line to include dolls of all shapes and sizes. Barbie turns 61 this month and to celebrate she’s teaming up with beauty brand M.A.C. Cosmetics.
Barbie is M.A.C.’s latest M.A.C. Maker — one of the brand’s hand-picked “international beauty movers and makers” chosen to create their very own M.A.C lipstick shade. Barbie's shade is a matte finish power pink (no surprise), but it's not the shade of pink you’re probably thinking of.
It’s called @BarbieStyle and it’s Barbie’s “dream lip color”: a cool-toned, bubblegum-pink she designed to be universally flattering on a variety of plastic dolls and humans. The custom shade is giving us all the nostalgic feels, and it looks like the perfect fit for every skin tone.
