Emma Stone as a 1970’s punk rocker version of Cruella De Vil?!? Yes, please!

Disney released the first look at Stone in her role in the upcoming film, Cruella at D23 Expo in Anaheim, and we’re pretty excited about her overall look. The shot shows the Oscar-winner in a black and white wig wearing a fantastic buckled black leather moto jacket. It also shows her holding onto the leash of three Dalmatians what appear to be two henchmen looking on.

Stone will play a younger, and more punk version of the iconic character set pre-101 Dalmatians. The film will follow her in her younger years during 1970s London, and show how young ‘Cruella’ became the iconic villain people love to hate.

Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry round out the cast. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 28, 2021.
