Friday Five: Our Favorite 'Lion King' Fashion Finds

The countdown is on for Jon Favreau’s highly-anticipated live-action remake of The Lion King. In this week’s Friday Five we’ve gathered some of our favorite fashion finds inspired by the Disney classic. Whether you’re a casual or die hard fan there’s something for everyone who wants to be prepared to rep Pride Rock. Take a look at some of our picks!

1. ASOS x Lion King Collab Collection (ASOS)

ASOS has teamed up with Disney to launch a Lion King-inspired summer range - and you’re going to want ALL the things! The collection includes brightly colored pieces featuring many of the film’s iconic characters available in women’s, men’s, and unisex options. From the pictures we’ve seen one of the standouts is this multi-colored cropped denim jacket, and yes — there are coordinating shorts and a tie-dyed Timon tee available too. The ASOS x Lion King collection is set to drop July 1st.

2. LION KING CUB BELT BAG ($58, Danielle Nicole)

This stylish fanny pack from Danielle Nicole features a shimmering, gold Simba. So cute! Belt bags are a huge trend right now (and so ‘90’s too). You can style this Lion King Cub Belt Bag with lots of different outfits — skirts, shorts, jeans, and even your favorite LBD.

3. LION KING FRIENDS BUSINESS TIME SHIRT ($63, BlackMilk Clothing)

The Lion King Friends Business Time Shirt sold out shortly after BlackMilk dropped it’s Adventure Time Collection over the Spring. If you missed your chance to grab this piece you’re in luck. The Australian label released it from the museum for a limited time. We love the retro vibe of this print featuring all your favorite Lion King characters in a throwback 90’s style graphic.

4. Our Universe Lion King Silhouette Woven Top Button Up ($40, Her Universe, Hot Topic)

Her Universe has a new Lion King collection available now online and at Hot Topic. The collection is full of sunny oranges and yellows mixed with greens and browns, for a look straight out of the Pride Lands. The line includes leggings, shirts, a jacket, and a dress. We love this men’s button-up — it will have you saying Hakuna Matata!

5. The Lion King ''VHS Case'' Clutch ($20, shopDisney)

Any good ’90s kid remembers their prized collection of Disney VHS tapes. You can revisit your love for your copy of with this VHS Case Clutch available from shopDisney. The padded vinyl cover features the 1994 cover art and has three card pockets, accordion sides and a zip top closure.
