Feel Like A Hawkins High Student In The Nike X 'Stranger Things' Collection

The third season of Stranger Things is just around the corner, and there’s not better way to gear up for the show’s arrival than with retro fashion and sneaker collection from Nike. The footwear brand is teaming up with the Netflix series on a collection inspired by Hawkins High School that’s filled 1980’s nostalgia, so if you’re a fan of the series and the swoosh you’re in for a treat.

The collection will arrive in two drops, with the first available on the Nike web store June 27th. It features three classic Nike silhouettes in Hawkins High’s green-and-orange colors— the Cortez ($120), the Tailwind ($120), and the Blazer Mid ($120). All three designs were available in the summer of 1985, when the events of season 3 are set to take place which is a nice nostalgic touch.

In the summer of 1985, several transport vehicles departed from Nike HQ in Beaverton, Oregon, carrying special product shipments headed to multiple locations across the US. Unfortunately, a few of the shipments never made it to their destination. These vehicles all had one thing in common…they were last seen on surveillance footage passing through Hawkins, Indiana. Nike, concerned and confused, never mentioned these missing shipments to anyone for fear that something supernatural was at play… Thankfully, Nike has managed to locate some of the missing shipments.

The Hawkins High Collection also includes tees and hoodies that look like they came straight out of a 1980’s gym class — aka before athleisurewear was a “thing.”

This will be followed up with a second release — dubbed the “OG Pack” — that will see the same silhouettes wrapped in a red, white and blue color palette marking the 1985 Independence Day. This pack arrives on July 1, just ahead of the series’ July 4th release date.
