'Black Panther' Cast Reigns Over The Oscar Red Carpet

Unless you’ve been under a rock the last few days you know it was a big night for Black Panther at the Academy Awards. The highest grossing superhero movie of all time picked up 3 Oscars and made history in the process — with Ruth Carter and Hannah Beachler becoming the first black winners and women to win in their respective categories (Best Costume Design and Best Production Design).

The cast has been shutting down red carpets throughout awards season and they did it again at the Oscars. The stars of the Best Picture nominee walked the Academy Awards red carpet and once again, they did not disappoint. Take a look!

Chadwick Boseman

Boseman has been going a little “extra” with his red carpet looks all season. The actor sported a black and blue Givenchy sequin blazer with black pants, a black turtleneck, and a floor-length tie. Who says tuxes are boring?

Angela Bassett

Yaaasss, Queen! Queen Mother, Angela Bassett reminded everyone that she knows how to work a red carpet in her custom pink Reem Acra gown.

Danai Gurira

Danai Gurira shimmered in a black and gold Brock Collection gown and a Leighton Jewels headband. She looks regal enough to rule a nation of her own.

Michael B. Jordan

Jordan was on trend in his blue velvet Tom Ford tux. The actor accessories his suit with a black bowtie and diamond earrings by Piaget.

Letitia Wright

Letitia Wright looked like a princess in a etherial Dior Haute Couture gown.

Winston Duke

Winston Duke looked very dapper wearing a black blazer with white accents on the pockets, cuffs, and lapels.

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o skipped the red carpet but joined her cast mates later in the evening at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The actress wore a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta one-shoulder gown covered in feathers. She completed the look with Forevermark diamonds.
