Is there any weapon that’s more badass than a lightsaber?!?

No. I didn’t think so either. Both high-tech and medieval, it's perfect for hand to hand combat and for slicing your enemy in two. It can cut through practically anything and deflect energy. It makes an awesome sound when its swung around in the air, and best of all — it comes in all different colors!

Walt Hickey and Rachael Dottie researched all the lightsabers mentioned in both the Star Wars canon and the Expanded Universe and plotted them by how common the colors are and turned it into this infographic. Check it out!

This chart makes me curious about a black lightsaber. Because I don’t remember ever seeing one. You can read more about the research that went into this chart at FiveThirtyEight. Prepare to go down a Star Wars rabbit hole, which isn’t a bad thing.
