Little Women is one of my all-time favorite books, and as one of four sisters myself, it will always have a special place in my heart. The latest film adaptation of the Louisa May Alcott classic opened in theaters Christmas Day to rave reviews. If you’re not familiar with the book it follows the four March sisters: Amy, Jo, Beth, and Meg in post-Civil War America.

It features an all-star ensemble cast and is adapted and written by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird). Sony Pictures released a featurette that takes you behind-the-scenes on the making of the movie. We get to see inside Louisa May Alcott’s home (which is now a museum) and to hear cast members talk about the importance of bringing this beloved story to the big screen for a new generation. Take a look!

The ensemble cast includes Meryl Streep (Aunt March), Saoirse Ronan (Jo March), Timothee Chalamet (Theodore “Laurie” Lawrence), Emma Watson (Meg March), Florence Pugh (Amy March), Eliza Scanlen (Beth March), and Laura Dern (Marmee March). Little Women is playing in theaters nationwide now.
