'Gremlins' Heading To Theaters In December In 4DX

Gremlins is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, which blows my mind because I remember seeing it in the theaters. I still love this movie, and every year it’s one I like to include in my Christmas movie binge list because Gizmo in a Santa hat is still one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

To celebrate the film’s 35th anniversary, Regal Cinemas is bringing the Joe Dante holiday horror classic back to the big screens in December. But this isn’t your average theatrical re-release. For the first time, Gremlins will be shown in the 4DX format — which includes moving seats and other sensory effects (think Captain EO).

Gremlins 4DX will be available in select Regal Cinemas from December 6 through December 11 as part of the theater chain’s 2019 Holiday Movie Classics programming. To find out more about the special screenings and if it will be showing at a theater near you click here.
