I’m a huge Star Trek: The Next Generation fan, so to say I’m excited that my space dad, Patrick Stewart, is reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: Picard would be a major understatement.

In the upcoming CBS All Access series Picard emerges from retirement in his vineyard in France to take on a new adventure without the help of Starfleet. He assembles a makeshift crew for a rescue mission, and along the way asks some familiar faces for help and advice.

A second trailer for the series dropped at New York Comic Con Saturday, and along with Brent Spiner (Data), and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) we finally get to see the promised return of Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker and Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi.

Take a look!

The show also stars Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, and Evan Evagora. The CBS All Access series also announced Picard’s official premiere date: Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020. The debut season’s 10 episodes will be made available weekly on the streaming service.
