Ridley Scott's Alien Is Returning To Theaters This Month

Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece, Alien celebrates it’s 40th anniversary this year. If you’re a film buff, or just a fan of the 1979 classic mark your calendars. The movie is returning to the big screens in select theaters across the U.S. later this month.
Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies, and 20th Century Fox have partnered for the anniversary screenings which will take place Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.; Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 7 p.m.; and Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 7 p.m. In addition to the movie, screenings will include commentary before and after the film from TCM Primetime host Ben Mankiewicz.
I’m a HUGE Alien fan. I don’t even know how many times I’ve seen it (because it’s been a lot). For me, it’s the perfect blend of science fiction and horror, not to mention a visual masterpiece. Sigourney Weaver’s, Ellen Ripley has been one of my (and a sister’s) pop culture heroes for as long as we both remember so the chance to see it on the big screen for the first time is something I’m really looking forward to.
