A Bare-Chested Dr. Malcolm Statue Is Coming From Chronicle Collectibles

New York Comic Con is underway, and as always, there’s been news breaking from the show each day. While we don’t generally cover toy or collectible news, we do cover Jeff Golblum news (because, reasons). So the announcement of a Dr. Ian Malcolm statue coming from Chronicle Collectibles sculpted in all his bare-chested, wounded glory from Jurassic Park got our attention.

The Texas-based company revealed plans to produce a limited-edition 1/4-scale statue of the shirtless scientist lounging in the iconic pose the Internet still loves.

Crafted in polyresin, the statue depicts Dr. Malcolm in all his wounded glory, reclining on a custom base with a cutaway revealing dinosaur fossils buried underneath. It will set you back $599, but the company does offer payment plans if you don’t have a bank account that rivals Dr. Hammond’s.

If you’re hitting NYCC this weekend you can see the prototype on display. You can pre-order the Dr. Ian Malcolm statue now. Shipping is expected in the fall of 2019.
